So in the town of Iola, I pull out of my hotel parking lot onto state st. This road os 2 lanes in each direction. After I was In the road I accelerated hard and in doing so passed 2 cars one in eAch lane. I signaled the lane change and passed the cars. One of the vehicles was a red durango. The Durango honks at me but by this time I have already shifted into fourth and was off if the gas because there Are a ton of cops in this town. So the Durango Followed me into a sonic. I just went around the parking lot ald left. When i Pass the dude going back onto state street he gi ves me the one finger " you come here gesture" so I return his gesture with the one finger salute. Later a city cop pulls me over. The cops inform me that they were contacted by the under sherrif and instructed to pull me over. O by the way these cops were all pricks and I was pleasent and tried to explain. When the under sherrif shows up he walks up to me and says " do I look familiar? Red Durango?" and he proceded to say " I know you were goin' fast cuz I had to do 50 in a 35 to catch up to you." after all this he writes me an excessive speed violation. He explains " I was in my personal vehicle so I didn't have radar. So this is a citation for excessive speed." Finally for my question. What should I do here. The sections of the ticket that explain how they know you were speeding e.g. Radar pace... Were not filled out along with no alleged or leged speed and no proof. Who should I talk to. And since I have a mo liscense. What would the reprocussions of simpily paying the ticket? Like records and such?... Read More »
